Engagement RingThe Ring

This ring was left to me by my Nana and is the single most important thing I have ever owned. There is a good story about the night she tried to give it to me twice when we were in Franklin, TN. (That story TBA later)

Quick details – Platinum ring purchased at Macy’s in NYC by my grandfather in ’43. Inside the band it is engraved with his initials, my nana’s initials, and the day he asked her to spend her life with him. On the opposite side of the band you will see my initials and Kelli’s initials.

Wedding Bands

The wedding bands have yet to be purchased but I am hoping they are as special as the engagement ring is.

UPDATE:   The day after the big St. Patty’s Day Bash 2010, John and I ventured down to DePriscos for their wedding event.  They really did have a TON of bands!  John didn’t have any problems selecting his right away – something very him!  Just like the gown, I had an image in my head and ended up picking something completely different.  The great folks at DePriscos are going to end up making my ring in house, which just makes it even more special – a great story to go with both of my rings!  Every time I put on the engagement ring, my eyes glaze over with excitement  and now I think about the second ring I’ll get to put on with it in only seven short months!
